We are dedicated to nurturing local amateur talent and providing a platform for talented amateur directors to showcase their creative visions.
The Submission Process
To have your show considered for an upcoming season at Firehall Theatre, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Prepare a Show Proposal: Compile a detailed proposal that includes a summary of the show's plot, character descriptions, and any unique production elements. Be sure to highlight the aspects that make your show a standout choice for our theatre.
- Include Your Directorial Background: Along with your proposal, provide information about your experience as a director, including past productions, training, and any relevant accolades. Don't worry if you're new to directing - we welcome fresh perspectives and are excited to support emerging talent!
- Submit Your Proposal: Send your show proposal and directorial background to our Board of Directors for review. Please our handy form to submit your info.
- Presentation to the Board: If your submission catches the attention of our Board of Directors, you'll be invited to present your vision for the show in person. This is your opportunity to elaborate on your ideas, discuss any technical requirements, cast and crew suggestions and address any questions the Board may have.

Our Board evaluates show proposals based on the following criteria:

- Viability within our production resources and budget
- Audience appeal and potential for community engagement
